The below photos show the original burial site of Elias J. “Lucky” Baldwin’s four American Derby winners (Volante, Silver Cloud, Emperor of Norfolk, and Rey El Santa Anita) beneath a maltese cross at Baldwin’s Santa Anita Rancho, circa 1910. All four graves were later moved to Santa Anita Park.
